I Was Saved by a Heavy Breeze…OOU Accident Survivor
Last week Friday's ghastly accident which claimed the lives of eight OOU students and three others, is still lingering in the hearts of many as families and friends continue to mourn the departed souls.
The only survivor of the accident, 300-level Chemical Science student, Ibukun Laughter Akinbo, while narrating how she got out of the vehicle explained that she was blown out by an heavy breeze.
According to her, she sat in front seat with her cousin when the accident occurred.
“I sat with my cousin, Yetunde Aribiola, on the front seat during the journey. Suddenly, the truck collided with the bus in which we were travelling, which caused the container to fall on the bus. I noticed the door broke away and a heavy breeze threw me out of the vehicle,” she said.
