According to emanating reports, Nigerian footballer with Gombe United, Uzama Douglas, has been shot dead by unknown gunmen.

The player, who was a former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles invitee, was said to have been shot dead while on a outing with some of his friends.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital as the team is still in shock over the sudden news.
