As the countdown begins to the end of year 2016, some Nigerian entertainers have been smiling home with various forms of gifts and awards like Nollywood marketer and producer, Magic Movies, who got 11 nominations for the movie ‘The Storm.’

At the just concluded Cross River Movie Awards, which was held at the Transcorp Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar, Sunday, December 11, 2016, the event saw lots of Nollywood practitioners fighting for top spot in the various categories they were nominated for.

While some went home sad for not picking any awards, Magic Movies, was so elated that his works were thoroughly screened and recognized as his movie ‘The Storm,’ out of 11 nominations got five awards.

The movie which was directed by Ernest Obi, won the Best Special Effect, Best Costume, Best Make-up, Best Editing and Best Screen Play.
