The sanctimonious erudite scholar, Professor Johnbull, in the Glo-sponsored TV drama series with the same name, keeps to his character as the moral conscience of the nation, when he spares no rod in thoroughly lampooning those who flouted the law on sanitation, including his son, Churchill (Jnr. Pope).

In the latest episode of the sitcom, tagged ‘Mobile Dustbin’, Professor Johnbull starred by Kanayo O. Kanayo,  reprimands his son, Churchill, who gets caught by health inspectors for littering the street with okpa leaves, a native delicacy among the Igbo people.

The episode opens with the handsome Nollywood actor, OC Ukeje, who plays Efosa, storming the residence of the academic to inform him that Churchill has been arrested. While the professor goes to effect his release, the nkwobi seller, Olaniyi, played by Yoruba screen star, Yomi Fashlano has his restaurant sealed off and the same measure is also applied to Mai Doya’s yam store and Etuk’s hotel, where Samson works as a manager, for filthy environment.

As usual, all the affected parties congregate in the professor’s house to seek his assistance in resolving the issue, and the moralist in the scholar comes to the fore as he takes time to lash out at the people one after the other for not keeping their environment clean, thereby justifying the action taken by the health inspectors. To underscore the seriousness of the matter, Professor Johnbull announces a temporal suspension of his consumption of Olaniyi’s nkwobi until he is sure that the “gastronomic laboratory” is clean enough.

Unfortunately though, Olaniyi (Yomi Fash-Lanso) appears not to have learnt any lesson for the first sanitation infraction as he is arrested for littering Professor Johnbull’s gate with orange peels when he, Olaniyi, comes around to see Caro, Professor Johnbull’s house maid acted by Mercy Johnson Okojie. The scene also portrays Caro as having learnt her ropes as she stylishly rebuffs Olaniyi’s love overtures by telling the go-between, Abednego (MC 4 God), that she is pregnant for another man to the admiration of Elizabeth (Queen Nwokoye) and the approval of the professor.

Professor Johnbull’s visit to Olaniyi, who is in the custody of health inspectors without any attempt to bail him, goes to confirm the professor’s stand on the issue of public sanitation  and the need for people to keep their environment clean.
