Likea wild fire in the harmattan, the rumour that the Rain Maker, Fasheke Majekodunmi a.k.a. Majek Fashek, spreads across Nigeria and overseas.

Immediately the death rumour started on Monday, the United States of America-based Nigerian drummer and singer, Kofo, called from his base to know whether it was true, while a call was put through to his friend, Ritheousman, who immediately cross-checked and dispelled it.

Other friends and fans also called to cross-check the report.

Apart from his physical appearance, the Prisoner of Conscience crooner's mode of dressing is not as sparkling as it used to be.

Majek, as he is popularly called, was said to have run amock while in the US, an allegation he denied.

He was also said to have been hooked on drugs and alcohol, among other things.

Speaking through some of his friends, especially Rutheousman, the Rain Maker said ”I am alive, my new album will put the records straight.
