Former beauty queen Omowunmi Akinnifesi shared a photo on April 1st 2016, that gave people an impression that she was engaged when she displayed a photo of an exquisite ring.

After sharing the photo, she wrote: “I said yes. Why does he have to do it today of all days. Love you always. This butterfly has been captured.”

After this caption on her page, fans began to flood her page with congratulatory messages and her engagement tale went viral. However the model that has been silent about it all along has chosen to speak up.

In a recent post, she took to her page to debunk the tale saying it was just a prank usually played in April called 'April fool' that she is not engaged to anyone.

"Please I'm not engaged oooo. It was April fool ooooo. Bloggers please stop blogging it ooooo. I love you ooooo," she wrote.
