NIJ Lecturers Reportedly Punish Reporter Who Exposed Korede Bello's Failure
Few months ago, reports of Mavin Record Label Artiste, Korede Bello's absence in school and his likelihood of missing out on school's examination due to not meeting the 70% attendance of class criteria went viral.
The disappointing news was let out by student-Journalist and Blogger, Damilare Famuyiwa and now he is allegedly bearing the brunt of the management of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) over the report, which the management considered unfavourable.
Consequently, Damilare was marked down in the last semester examinations with very low scores in virtually all the courses, while Koredo had very high grades.
According to reports, the Mavin Mega Super-Star, Korede Bello with the Godwin hit song cleared all his examination results with good grades while the student-journalist, Famuyiwa Damilare had two carry-overs and low grades in eight other courses offered last semester which ended February this year.
More information revealed that Damilare, who is a freelance journalist at The Nation Newspaper, an active member of the Nigerian Young Journalists Forum and Journalists For Christ (JFC) whose matric no is HNMC/15/031 had earlier been promised to face worst scenario of academic hiccups all through his stay in the institute.
Since he leaked the story, Damilare, had unknowingly entered the bad book of the institution and is subsequently being victimized.
