It is countdown to this year's Lagos City Marathon the event is hoped to have large turnout of participant as some Nigerian entertainers have shown interest to participate in the event.

The likes of Patoranking, Lil Kesh, Sound Sultan and others have shown interest in the competition. Patoranking, after completing his registration formalities, said he was quite excited at the Lagos Marathon project and he hinted that he would be going the whole mile on February 6 when over 20,000 athletes are expected to participate in the first edition of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon.

The singer further explained that he had to join in the race because he loves sports so much especially football and the race will also give him the opportunity of burning calories.

In his words, “I love sports so much especially football, you can see my legs but for this race, I know I'm not fat but it will help me burn some calories.”
