Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries to choose the party's flag bearer in the upcoming gubernatorial election Prince Odi is contesting for the seat of Deputy Governor of the state, and is hopeful to claim the position.

With the massive campaign going on in the state, many party faithful are in high hopes that Prince Odi might likely win the position even though many had thought he would have gone for the seat of governorship rather than deputy.
