I Was Only Able to Pick My Bible from my Burnt House…Buchi
Popular gospel singer, Buchi Atuonwu better known as Buchi, is really holding to his Christian belief despite the various forms of temptations that has come his way in the past two years.
Recently, the singer lost his mother who passed away at the age of 81 and was buried in December 11, 2015.
It would be recalled that in 2014, the singer who was away in Warri on a musical tour, lost his house to a fire incident which claimed all his property except his Holy Bible.
Speaking about the whole incident that has played out so far, the singer described it as temptation which was just to test his faith with God.
“When I lost my studio and a part of my house to fire last year, I was performing on stage in Warri. I had to cut the trip short and returned to Lagos. It was so bad that I had to live in a hotel with my family for a while. So you see, I did not only lose personal belongings and equipment, all of which ran into several millions of naira; I was temporary rendered homeless by the fire incident.
“No incident has ever tested my faith in God as much as that particular incident Everything got burnt inside the studio, except a copy of the Holy Bible. When such a challenge comes up, somehow you may want to pack it up and go in another direction. At a point, I was tempted to call it quits, but I didn't,” he told Punch.
