Omotola Jalade attends the Zambia for Africa’s first child summit in Lusaka
Omotola's prominence has ushered her as one of the leading voices for the African continent especially on social issues. As such, she was invited as a guest of the African Union and Bono's One Campaign's first ever African Summit on child marriage in Lusaka, Zambia.
Speaking at the event, Omotola enumerated on ways movies and the media can help eradicate child marriages in Africa.
Host of the event, Zambian president Edgar Lungu, stated that he was not interested in curbing child marriage but rather eliminating it completely. Also in attendance were the Zambian First Lady, First Lady Esther Lungu, South Africa's First Lady Tobeka Zuma and Ethiopia First Lady Roman Tesfaye.
