Tonto Dikeh, to some society watchers, might be the most controversial Nollywood actress. The pretty, rivers State-born actress has remained hot in the news since her entry into the movie industry in 2006. Tonto is also noted for being in love with tattoos, and is believed to have several of them on her body. Until she recently dumped the habit, Tonto was said to be at home with the sticks, and didn't give a damn who felt offended. She once had a brawl with Van Vicker on a movie set in 2011.

Iyabo Ojo

One of the best hands in the Yoruba genre of Nollywood, Iyabo Ojo, is not new to controversies. Her bitter fight with colleague, Lizzy Anjorin, was almost out of control until some industry heavyweights stepped in to broker peace.

Funke Akindele

Her wedding to Oshodi big boy, Alhaji Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, crashed last year after a few months of conjugal matrimony. Funke was alleged to have fought with one of her colleagues on a movie set in 2011. That, however, is the extend of her controversial lifestyle.

Genevieve Nnaji

Genny, as sexy Genevieve Nnaji is fondly called, has been romantically linked with several actors in Nollywood. Ramsey Nouah, RMD, Pat Attah and even in music, she was also linked with D'Banj and a few other men means. But she has remained professional, unfazed by the stories about her.

Tayo Odueke (Sikiratu Sindodo)

Not many know Tayo Odueke by her real name. She is better known as Sikiratu Sindodo, a name she got from one of the flicks that brought her to limelight. One of the scandals around her was the alleged romance she had with a leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oshodi, Lagos, Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo. Oluomo was said to have sent her to Saudi Arabia for holy pilgrimage. She was also rumoured to have dated actor and producer, Kunle Afod. A few months ago, gist went round that she was having an affair with Aremu, the younger brother of Kunle Afolayan, which she promptly denied. She is currently in a sizzling romance with top Fuji artiste, Malaika, which she has not denied.

Stella Damasus

Nollywood gem, Stella Damasus, was regarded as the industry's 'good gal' until she was linked with the separation of fellow actress, Doris Simeon, with her hubby, Daniel Ademinokan. Stella was reported to have started an affair with Daniel before his marriage with Doris crashed. Now, the latest news from America is that Stella is married to Daniel Ademinokan.

Bukky Wright

Her failed marriages and romantic affairs with some big boys in the industry have been a scandal for many to feed on. Bukky Wright's beauty obviously attracts men to her. The mother of two is certainly one of the actresses tainted with controversies.

Faithia Williams

She is the estranged wife of top Nollywood actor, Saidi Balogun. As with her peers in the industry, she too is not free of the scandals in Nollywood. She was once rumoured to have fought her colleague over a young Ibadan politician, though she denied it. She was alleged to have claimed that the lady in question snatched the man from her. She was once reported to be in sizzling romance with the Director of Corporate Pictures, Alhaji Abdullahi Razak. It was also reported that the romance almost destroyed the marriage of the top marketer. All that were mere rumours, with Fathia at the centre.

Stephanie Okereke

Stephanie Okereke was reported in 2011 to have fought with Genevieve over a guy. When her marriage to former Super Eagles defender Iloanusi collapsed, she was alleged to be at fault. In fact, she was alleged not to have shown enough commitment to the union. Of course, Stephy and her friends denied the allegation but that did not save the situation. That cast her in cotroversial light

Mosun Filani

At the twilight of her movie career, Mosun was enmeshed in a hot romantic relationships with actors Muyiwa Ademola and Odunlade Adekola.

Liz Anjorin

Her prolonged controversial seniority issue with her colleague, Iyabo Ojo, is still fresh in Nollywood circle. And recently, Liz stirred up more controversy by going to Mecca on holy pilgrimage to become an Alhaja, a trip many said was sponsored by an Alhaji she is planning to marry.

Laide Bakare

She caused a stir last year after divorcing her husband, as she gave birth to another baby and declare that her new baby was not for her former husband, but for her new hubby. Not a few eyebrows were raised. as people accused her of cheating on her former husband before her divorce.
