I Love Food But Don’t Just Eat Anyhow.........Henrietta Kosoko

By OLAIDE ADEKUNLE

Popular English and Yoruba movie actress, Henrietta Kosoko, told OLAIDE ADEKUNLE about herself and what she does on a typical day.

Q: How does your day start?

A: My day starts early

Q: How early?

A: I don't have a specific time because of the nature of my job. Sometimes, I sleep out if I finish late from location, but when in my house, I wake up as early as 6 a.m. or thereafter.

Q: What do you do afterwards?

A: I do some light exercise, clean the house, attend to one or two things around the house. If I have anywhere to go or any appointment to catch up with, I set out and if there is none, I relax at home.

Q: How do you relax?

A: By watching movies or reading novels, but mostly, I relax by rehearsing my lines if there is any at hand.

Q: What motivates you?

A: I get my motivation from the Almighty because I'm made to understand that I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Q: How do you combine family with acting?

A: That is a very big question. Acting is a time-demanding job and my family also needs me around always, but to God be the glory, I have a very understanding family. I give all attention when around and when I'm not, they understand and bear with me.

Q: How does your weekend look like?

A: My weekend is the most busy. If I'm not on location, I'm attending one function or another. I make sure I go to church on Sunday but can't predict what happens after that.

Q: What is your favourite meal?

A: I love good food, I balance my diet, so I don't just eat anyhow and run from anything fat or cholesterol.

Q: What of drinks?

A: Nothing quenches my thirst like water, so it is the best so far.

Q: Any memorable day?

A: I have a lot because God has been very good to me.

Q: What would you love to be remembered for?

A: For leaving a legacy, helping people and have contributed my own quota to the development of the youth in the country.

Q: When do you retire back home?

A: If I have nothing doing, I go home early, but when I have anything doing, I go home as soon as I'm through.

Q: Your bed time?

A: No specific time, my programme for the day determines when I go to bed.
