Missing NTA Presenter’s Daughter, Rukayat Gawat Gets Groove Back
It seems daughter of the missing NTA presenter, Alhaji Rasaq Aremu Gawat, Rukayat Gawat-Oyefeso, has got back her groove following the unfortunate incident that occurred in her family. She was recently elected as the Social Secretary of Islamic Musician Association of Nigeria (ISMAN), Lagos State chapter, a position she is excited about.
Rukayat promised to give a good account of herself by the time her tenure ends. The group held an election Thursday, July 30, 2015 in Isolo area of Lagos.
Rukayat, one of the fast-rising Islamic singers in the music industry, has carved a niche for herself. She is married and blessed with children. The Mass Communication graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State took over the music scene with her hit single entitled 'Ogbe Okan'.
The single featured Abdul Kabir Bukola Alayande otherwise known as 'Ere Asalatu', Aminat Omotayebi and Ustaz Saheed Ife-Araye artistically known as 'Gbemisoke'.
Rukayat focuses more on women as she preaches the ideals of a wife and the duties and roles of women in the Islamic world generally.
This easy-going singer has performed at several big Islamic functions and has few interesting musical albums that include 'Imole', 'My Father', 'Arinakore Aye Le', and 'Agboko L'Ori' to her credit.
