A popular image sharing platform, Instagram has verified the account of Nigerian football star, John Obi Mikel.

His account on the platform now carries the blue mark sign, which is meant to differentiate the authentic account of the Chelsea midfielder from parody accounts on Instagram.

The former Nigerian U23 football player joined the platform some weeks ago.

Few weeks ago, after he joined Instagram, Obi posted on the platform, “hi guys, let's see what the fuss is all about Instagram.”
