Artistes Leave Me After 2 Years--Olamide
Sensational Nigerian rapper, Olamide, who has stressed that he is in no competition with anybody, has reacted to rumours concerning artistes under his Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) Records. He also reacted to issues concerning his style of music.
Olamide warned that he should not be compared with late rapper, Dagrin. Some people have claimed that Dagrin's death pave way for Olamide's success.
The rapper also disclosed that YBNL only sign artistes on a two-year deal, after which they leave. He explained that YBNL is not a music label per se, but a movement, where young artistes are given platform to success and then move on with their careers elsewhere.
“Saying Kesh or Viktoh or anyone else is going to leave me is kind of shitty. I want these guys to be great, not to be slaves or dependent,” Olamide said.
“All the guys I signed just (do) two years contract and when they are independent, my prayer is for them not to sign any deal with a record label (again),” he added.
