Hoodlums dumps 2 pupils into pit toilet

TWO pupils (male and female) of Fagge Special Primary School, Kano, (names withheld) were on Wednesday, attacked by unknown assailants at about 1.p.m and later dumped into the school pit toilet, even as the female pupil lost her life.

A source at the school, who preferred anonymity, said the unidentified assailants might have scaled the school fence at the exterior end of the building, before abducting the pupils while school was in session.

Our source further disclosed that the male pupil who was stabbed several times on the head, however, survived the attack.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that the female pupil who was also stabbed, momentarily survived the attack by the unknown hoodlums, but eventually died while receiving treatment at the hospital.

When Nigerian Tribune visited the scene of the incident, the pit toilet was under lock and key.

A night guard on the premises, who identified himself as Mallam Ibrahim Dan Sariki, disclosed to the Nigerian Tribune that about 1.p.m on Wednesday, some hoodlums scaled the school fence and attacked the two pupils, a male and a female.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Musa Magaji Majiya, who confirmed the incident, said that immediately the police was alerted by the Assistant Headmaster, the police swung into action by drafting its crack squad to the scene of the crime.

According to him, on arrival at the scene, the police met the victims in a pool of blood, as they sustained varying degrees of injuries all over their bodies.

The police image maker said the male survived the attack while the female died. He said the police took a snap shot of the toilet, where their blood was splashed and rushed them to a hospital, where the girl was confirmed dead.

Majia said that investigation into the incident had commenced, adding that the motive behind the act was yet to be ascertained.
