An attack took place in Logo local government area of Benue State on Sunday morning, which left many people dead.

The attackers, who were reportedly Fulani militias, stormed the community and started shooting at the helpless victims, killing them at will.

It was also gathered that the armed men destroyed churches, cars, houses, market places and anything on sight during the raid.

The villages highly affected were, Iorza, Faga, Per and Ukura, which are majorly where some Internally Displaced Persons were taking refuge after fleeing their villages following similar attacks

Confirming the bloody incident, the spokesman of the Benue State Police Command, ASP Austin Ezeani, said he could not ascertain the number of casualties as at press time, but said investigation was ongoing.
