Lagos lawmaker-elect, Desmond Elliot, is presently in Abuja, the seat of power for an induction course organized as part of preparations for the commencement of the eighth session of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The popular actor got the ticket at the last general elections to represent his Surulere 01 Constituency at the Lagos Assembly.

Out of the 40 members in the seventh Assembly, only half of them made it back, while 20 are coming in as rookies, including Desmond.

The course, organized by the National Institute for Legislative Studies (NILS), commenced on Monday and will last till Friday. It is to train the lawmakers-elect on legislative activities and also to make them familiarise themselves.
