Man Christens Child After General Buhari
The country has been in celebration mood since Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Attahiru Jega announced a retired army general and former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari as the president-elect of the just-concluded election.
Buhari ran for the post under the All Progressives Congress (APC) against President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) last Saturday.
However, a man has named his newly born child after the Daura, Katsina-born retired soldier.
According to reports, the child was born into the family of Ahmad Gwamma and he christened his baby Muhammad (Change) Buhari a.k.a 'Saibaba'.
'Sai Baba' is the phrase used by supports of the APC candidate during the election campaign to chant Buhari.
The proud father said he made the decision to name his child after the former military ruler so that the boy would also become Nigeria's president by the year 2088, when his child would be 73-years old.
In 2011, some parents christened their children after President Goodluck Jonathan because of the 'luck' circumstances he got into office in 2010 from a humble lecturer in 1998.
