Rather than drum support for a political party, veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva along with Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Project Cordinator & Founder of Savanah Center for Diplomacy, Democracy and Development, were in Sokoto state with the Emir to discuss ways of enlightening and averting election violence in the country.

Joke Silva, who is a council member of the Savannah Centre group, while giving her speech, stated that the organisation is not a partisan group thereby stressing the need for condusive environment both during and after the elections.

The sultan who was happy to receive the group promised that they will do everything possible to ensure that there is violence from election in the state. He also gave the actress a book on leadership for her leisure.
