Funnyman, MC Abbey has revealed that he had a hard time convincing his wife of his seriousness in marrying her. He had to go to a man of the collar to press home his desire to marry her.

While speaking on the television programme, 'Sunrise Daily', he said spoke about his marriage and how difficult it was for him to break into main stream comedy.

He said, “When I asked my wife out, she felt I was not serious, she felt I was joking. For like three months until it took her pastor to convince her that I was serious that I meant business; that I wanted to marry her.

“Because of what I told her pastor, he called her and told her I was her man because I had content.

“It was not easy back then. I had the challenge of acceptance. The platform of expressing oneself in Lagos was hell. I kept going from one place to the other where they had events and I would tell them that I am an MC. I had a beautiful card, came all the way from Warri, Delta State."
