Military Rule Better Than Jonathan’s Government—9ice
Popular Nigerian singer, 9ice may have lost out in the Oyo State House of Representatives primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), but that does not mean he will not throw his weight behind his party, unlike some politicians, who decamped to other parties.
The singer had wanted to get a slot in the lower chamber of the National Assembly to represent his people of Ogbomosho in Oyo State, but some key members of the party in the state decided to give such task to another person.
9ice, who admitted being an illiterate, stressed that does not affect his decision making, saying he is for his party's presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.
"My VP (referring to Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Buhari's running mate) come February 14 because as an illiterate, I still have to make a decision. I have decided to follow APC, Buhari, Ambode, and My Governor Ajimobi," he said on Instagram after he posted a photograph of Osinbajo.
He further said the military rule is better than the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
"For the love of this country. Sing this song and post. Military government better pass Jonathan," he stated.
