He is one of the famous music exponents in Nigeria that made the 'female waist' an object of serious consideration on the dance floor as the gyrations and grindings never stop whenever his music is played at gigs and on the airwaves.

Iyanya is the 'Kukere' crooner that shook the Nigerian music scene few years after winning a music competition. Now, he has been accused of being a cheat; sadly not by a lady, but a 'dude', who is also an artiste like him in Kenya.

The artiste, Charles Njagua Kanyi whose stage name is Jugar, did a music collaboration with Iyanya entitled 'One Centimetre'.

Jugar accused Iyanya in an interview with a Kenyan publication of exploiting his (Jugar) creative and music prowess just to gain acceptance in East Africa.

He said Iyanya has not been making efforts to promote the song in Nigeria, which, according to him, has not made the song to be popular in Nigeria. Jugar said the Nigerian is becoming a habitual cheat, stating that an artiste, Sauti Sol, also suffered a similar fate in the hands of Iyanya when they did 'Sura Yako'

He explained that Iyanya wanted the video to be shot in Nigeria by Clarence Peters as against his which for it to be shot by Kenyan director, Thome, even if Nigeria will be used as location.
