Just like every average and conscious Nigerians, who are tired of the incessant attacks by terrorists in Nigeria, especially in the northern part of the country, three of the public figures in the entertainment industry have reacted to the issue.

Top Nollywood star, Genevieve Nnaji, urged citizens of the country to keep their hopes alive and pray for Nigeria. She stated this on her Instagram page.

“We lose everything when we lose hope. Keep faith alive and pls #PrayForNigeria wherever you are. #OurLivesMatterToo. Thank you and God bless," she wrote.

On the part of talented actress and producer, Uche Jombo-Rodriguez, she echoed the statement of Genevieve Nnaji, pleading with Nigerians to forget politics and protect their lives first.

According to Mrs Rodriguez, it appears that lies no longer count in Nigeria, and she questioned how Nigeria got to the point where human lives were no longer valued.

"What about security? When did we become this nation where lives don't matter? Nigeria deserves better #IamBaga #PrayForNigeria #prayForPeace. weAreNigerians let's NOT become D nation international community has 2 push b/4 we take care of our domestic matters. Let's leave politics for now and focus on Nigerian lives #PrayForNigeria," she submitted.

Collaborating what Genevieve and Uche Jombo said, media personality, Toke Makinwa, wondered why the killing in the land.

“Just when we are still reeling from the news of 2,000 people massacred in Baga, 2 female suicide bombers blow themselves up at the GSM market killing 4 people and injuring many others in Yobe state. I don't recognise Nigeria anymore, this is not my country, these are not my people, when and how did we get here??? In Rivers state there is violence, APC building burnt down , on the other hand somewhere else a PDP bus is burnt too.

“The election process is not a do or die is it???? So why the violence? Of what difference does it make to terrorism Vandalism should never be accepted.people are hurt in the process. Who are these people??? Should the elections be postponed? Will February be safe?

“Why is there a March with world leaders and religious leaders in Paris and here NOTHING! Of what value is a human life in Nigeria? At this rate is there a future for our unborn kids in Nigeria? No light, Bad roads, Bad leaders, Killings everywhere, Corruption….. Father have mercy on us today,“ she wrote.
