Nollywood Producers Think Yoruba Actors Are Not Educated—Funke Etti
Popular Yoruba actress, Funke Etti, has said that acting in English speaking films is more challenging to her than in Yoruba movies.
'I find it easier expressing myself with Yoruba, and I can't imagine myself travelling to America and I am given an award. Though I appreciated it, but in the end, I ended up speaking Yoruba after receiving the award. The award was given to me for the Yoruba movie I did', she said.
The actress also said most English producers and actors don't like calling on them for acting English movie with them due to their mentality towards them that they are not educated.
She added that in the Yoruba industry, they have a lot of talented actors and actresses who can also do better also in the industry.
Funke Etti is currently working on a big project in collaboration with Kunle Afolayan, and that fans should expect something new from her come 2015.
