The rumour was kick-started by some online media platforms. It went viral and others copied that it even became a trend that Warri billionaire Ayiri Emami gave BBA - Hotshot star Tayo Faniran money.

It was said that Ayiri offered Tayo $350k after he lost out to Tanzanian, Idris Sultan, at the 2014 BBA finale following the massive outcry and complaints of foul play by Nigerians.

Disputing all the speculations that he was given the said sum by the Delta Billionaire, Tayo took to social media to clear it up.
