How Segun Demuren Helped Banky W When He Was Kidnapped

Like some would say, it is good to always appreciate those who solidly stood behind one during hard times, and this popular singer, Banky W did on Monday, October 27, 2014, when his friend, Segun Demuren added another year.

Segun is the Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) boss, which Banky W also belongs to as an artiste and executive.

Recounting how Segun helped him during his kidnap saga, Banky W pointed out that if not for the young man, he (Banky W) would have quit music. The singer said on January 2009, when he was kidnapped by some gunmen, it was Segun that solidly stood behind him.

Banky W said Segun was there to help, encourage, support and inspire him, adding that he would have not attain the height he has reached today if God had not brought Segun to his way.

In December 2009, Banky W dropped his much anticipated second album in Nigeria titled 'The W Experience'. The album later became a hit and got nominations. The EME crew later signed Wizkid and Skales, who also became big artistes in Nigeria, especially Wizkid.
