Of Course There Is Change- Joy Akosa
From the year 1960, change came into Nigeria, this change might not be so much or to the standard we want it to be, but the truth is that, there was change. We have come so far that we barely remember our past.
There was a time when there was no GSM, no newspaper, no online media, no good roads, no cars, no transportation, no freedom, no government, no democracy, no politics, no acting, no singing, no entertainment, just the way we have them now. Lets appreciate instead of complaining, i wish that there was a way to give every individual a chance to rule this country and you should see what it feels like when you are criticized and blamed for others unfortunate way of life.
Nigeria is 54 today, instead of complaining, ask your selves what value you have added to yourselves not to talk more of the country as a whole. We put the blames on government, but the answers to being unfortunate to see good achievements is in our hands. You see people who don't even pay tax still complaining about government, you see jobless youths who don't want to serve anyone complaining that there are no jobs, when you can actually be your own CEO. Nigeria has come to stay, so much we have gone through, endured, survived; so much more we are yet to accomplish. Nigeria definitely has a lot of unresolved issues just like any other country, but her beauty will never fade away. Happy independence day from all of us at Nollywoodgists.
