Mallam Nasir El-Rufai’s Son, Bello Set to Desert Father

Son of Former Nigerian Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Bello El-Rufai, has said he will leave his father if he decamps to the Peoples Democratic Party.

Bello made this known via his father's social media page while he attacked the capability of the ruling party saying they are the problem of the country.

According to him, “I will personally decamp from my father's side if he moves to the PDP. I say this because I know he will never entertain the thought.”

“The PDP is not the only thing wrong with Nigeria. It is certainly more complex than that. However, it is the main problem right now,” he stated.

This is coming on the heels of his father's response to a question on his social media page from a follower on when he plans to defect from his current party, the All Progressive Congress to the PDP.

“@NasiruHamisu1: @elrufai When do u plan defect?” when Satan repents & converts to Islam, I will consider the option & then reject it,” he replied.

El-Rufai is a former stalwart of the PDP and served the government during the Olusegun Obasanjo tenure.
