Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasir El-Rufai has lost his son, Hamza, on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, in a fatal motor accident.

The son of the chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) reportedly died in a car crash that took place in Abuja. El-Rufai, who broke the news, said, "From Allah we came and to Him we shall return. Please join our family in praying for the repose of the soul of my son Hamza El-Rufai who died this morning in a motor accident in Abuja.”

Hamza was said to have graduated from the University of Virginia in 2013.

Few months ago, it was reported that the former Minister lost his daughter, Zainab to sickle cell anaemia and also in November 2011, El-Rufai lost his eldest daughter, Yasmin, to death in London.
