For some years now, there have been rumours that Nollywood actor Benedict Johnson and actress Mercy Johnson had been in a relationship before they finally married their various spouse.

It was reported that he dumped Mercy Johnson to marry his present wife, but the actor in a recent interview with daily news, said that he and Mercy Johnson had nothing to do with each other but as professional colleagues.

Benedict said they are very close friends and then she was up and coming in the movie industry, so he had to introduced her to couple of producers.

He debunked the claims that he and Mercy ever had a romantic relationship with each other, and claims she is a fantastic actress.
