The Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA) has just recently produced the list of the nominees for the 9th edition of its award show which is set to take place in New York, USA, later in the year.

The NEA which was established in New York City of the United States of America in January 2006 is an annual event which focuses on recognizing the contributions of African entertainers to the entertainment industry and aims to promoting the image and culture of Nigeria at large.

Making headlines each with multiple nominations include, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Flavour, Don Jazzy, Wizkid, Olamide, Patoraanking, Chidinma and Oritse Femi.

The entertainment award which has helped increase the awareness of a new edgy style of African entertainment and in the promotion of Nigerian acts to the world, features the movies 'Accident' and 'Finding Mercy' as topping the list with three nominations each in the Film category.
