With the age 35years been the new 50 in this era of industrialization, Edith Elekwachi of Nollywoodgists.com brings a concise list of the leading future power players of Nigeria in the music industry in no particular order.

Burna Boy: 23years old Hip hop artiste Damini Ogulu has achieved an 80percent of been termed a successful artiste in Nigeria. Unlike some other artistes who have been in Lagos for a long period of time and still trying to gain ground in the music industry, Burna moved from the city of Portharcourt to Lagos, and within a short period of time, he is on the lips of every Nigerian youth.

He has made money and smiled to the bank which is a huge achievement in the industry. Today, he is signed to one of the biggest and giant telecommunication company in the world 'Globalcom'. His latest single 'Won da mo' which he featured Bangalee D'banj is a major hit in the market already.

Seyi Shay: relocating to Nigeria and debuting in 2011 under Cecil Hammond's Flytime Music after working in a girl band group 'From above' tutored by the father of International star Beyonce, Matthew Knowles, Seyi is one true talent to watch out for in the future. 27years old Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua is a force to reckon with in the industry.

She came in when a lot of female artistes have already made the mark and established a little bit, she debuted when the likes of Omawunmi, Waje, and Tiwa has already gain grounds and network, but was still able to establish her image in the music scene and clinged a record deal and an endorsement from Multinational Telecommunication company 'Etisalat'.

This leggy music diva has been compared to Tiwa Savage many times and undeniably, she is giving the Mavin R&B first lady a run for her money. Kudos to her Management team no doubt, is behind her blooming success. Her latest song 'Ragga ragga' is a hit banger.

Tiwa Savage: 34years old Mrs Teebillz debuted in the Nigerian Music Industry when a modern female musician was not really recognized in the country. Her huge personality speaks volume, just as the likes of Waje and Omawunmi were more of the talents and not of the personality.

For singer Omawunmi who had a platform she gained entrance with, which is the 'West African Idol' singing reality-competition and Waje who started singing from school in Enugu where she was already to some extent been established, and then got featured in Lagos by the popular duo twins P'Square in their 'Do me' and song and in the remake of 'Omoge mi' songs respectively, they both had edges over Tiwa Savage.

Tiwa who is claimed to have been signed by well renowned American music record label 'Sony Music' and disclosed to once been the backup singer for international star Mary J.Blige, never had the local edge, but had the content which was her unique selling point and started everything fresh when she returned to Nigeria and ever since then, has been receiving massive airplay and huge acceptance.

The remix 'Girlie o' by leading hot music artiste Patoranking, which she was featured, is a killer watch. She is the face of Forte oil, brand ambassador to Pepsi and Big Telecommunication Company MTN respectively, currently signed to Don Jazzy Mavin Record label.

Wizkid: 23years old years Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun with over a million followers on twitter is no small boy at his young age. Wizkid whose career started as early as when he was 11 years old was formerly thought to be a toast some years ago is presently one of Nigeria's music stars celebrated globally.

The talented singer is the prime of our time. Wizkid sets. He is like a gift to his generation. Whatever he does embraces success and makes headlight. He is one of the first musicians of his pair that has rocked the stage locally and internationally. Recently, the pop star disclosed in an online interview with MTV Base Africa that he was paid N20,000 for his first performance which after opening for Banky W and basically learning and climbing up the rope, today, he is among the best paid music artiste in Nigeria.

Signed unto his own label 'Starboy records' after he left Banky W's Empire Mates Entertainment record label after 4years,he rejoined Senegalese international star Akon's 'Konvict Music' record label and has since then been releasing more 'Hotcakes' as Nigeria's music's reigning king of the beat.

However, Wizkid who has told his teeming fans to expect the release of his new album come June 2014, is currently shooting his soon to be release video somewhere in Surulere environs. Wizkid has renewed his brand ambassadorship to Pepsi and MTN with speculations having it that he has got Hennessy's endorsement in his bag.

Davido: a hardworker and a force to be reckoned with, 22years David Adedeji Adeleke wants to be the prime of his time. He wants to be a self made man and not a picture of his wealthy dad. 'OBO' (omo baba olowo) as he is crooned, is a talented music star who is creating a unique picture and personality of himself. Davido is one of the reasons why Wizkid needed to sit up, as he is Wizkid's biggest competition, just as Wizkid was Wande coal's biggest competition. A while ago, he won the Best African Artiste of the year at the 15th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, clinged an ambassadorship deal with Telecommunications MTN amongst other goodies.

The duo Nigerian singing sensations, Davido and Wizkid have always been battling it out on our airwaves with their numerous songs, even though their teeming fans have tried to fuel a rivalry and competition between the two at different times with some claiming one is well talented compared to the other. Just recently, when a fan asked Davido when he intends doing a song with Wizkid, he replied, “When God says, shout out to Wiz”.

With all the unfounded rumours that the two youngest millionaire stars are at each others throat, even after both of them have gone at different lengths to deny they are 'beefing' it is to be assumed Davido's reply to this fan can finally put a stop to the speculations.
