An up and coming artiste, Orezi, who is now making waves in the Nigerian music industry, has express his sadness over the way marketers reduce their earnings through the sale of their albums.

According to the artiste, the reason why musicians don't make money from albums is because it involves making arrangement with marketers for a pay off or percentage of proceeds from the album sales. Orezi stated that most Nigerian artistes usually settle for pay off which may not exceed N5m at most.

He added that despite these challenges, albums increase acceptance, popularity and fan base of the artiste, which is where the money comes from.
