Prolific Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele Oloyede enlivened the launch of Islander Magazine owned by seasoned journalist, Ola Muhammed. The event, which took place at Bespoke Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos on Sunday July 15, 2012, also saw the convergence of the who-is-who in the media profession.

Top politicians, professionals, celebrities and people from all walks of life came out to support the Magazine publisher, Ola Muhammed. Ola, who has cut his teeth in the pen profession, may not have asked for more with the large turn out at the event.

At the magazine launch were Funke Akindele Oloyede and Yaw who anchored the event.

Others present were Barr. Muiz Bello, Chief Bolaji Esho, Alhaji Akanni Olohunwa and wife (Laide), Alhaji Kazeem Afolayan (Epsalum Productions), Segun Ogunbunmi (Pulisher Global News), Casto Biodun Dada (publisher Acada), Otunba Lanre Subir, Hon. John Campus Ogundare, JJC Skillz, 2kriss, KSB, Elphlex, Laide Bakare, Foluke Daramola, Mr Victor Olaotan, Kunle Coker, Titi Osinowo and many others.

DJ Spinall, JJC-Skillz, KSB, and 2kriss thrilled the audience with their electrifying performance.

According to the publisher Ola Muhammed, "Islanders' Magazine is circulated free on the Island and as our philosophy and house style at Ola media concept, we shall keep serving the audience exclusive stories, interviews and pictures."
