Seun Kuti’s Re-Affirms: “My Parents Lost The Battle To AIDS”

Last son of the late Afro Beat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Seun who has taken over his late dad's band, Egypt 80, after many years, has acknowledged that his dad, the Afro Beat creator, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, died of AIDS related ailments.

Seun Kuti, confessed to 'Rubbin Minds with Ebuka' on Y!TV, that the music maestro and his mother both died from the dreaded disease despite denials by family members when Fela died in 1997. It was actually HIV/AIDS that killed him.

Seun therefore vowed to live a responsible life instead of towing that path of sexual recklessness like Fela did. But going by happenstances in the life of the talented musician, Seun according to those who are very close to him seems to be saying no to reckless sexual frivolities, yet he storms various strip and conventional night clubs in search of ladies of easy virtues for sexual exploit.
