Various reports confirm that artistes in the Nigerian music industry, on Saturday March 2, 2013, at the candlelight procession held in his honour late singer, Damino Damoche, snubbed the event.

The candlelight procession was held at the late singer's parents' home in Agege, Lagos. We gathered that no known artiste showed up for the event that was held at 6pm on Saturday.

While some attributed the artistes' black out to the event based on circumstances surrounding Damoche's death, some others argued that Nigerian artistes could have just given Damoche the last respect since he was one of them.

Information scooped from various reports indicate that the event was largely peaceful as there was no record of fight or violence during the procession.

Damoche was reportedly killed by suspected cultists on Thursday afternoon at the main gate of LASU in Ojo. He was buried on Saturday morning amidst tears at a Badagry cemetery.
