Nigerians And The Fear Of Boko Haram

Source: Babajide Ogunbumi/Nollywoodgists.com

Boko Haram sect continues to hand us the gift of dead men, women and children blown into pieces on a weekly basis especially in the Norther part of the country, www.nollywoodgists.com gathered through a source that, there were series of messages indicating that the Boko Haram was allegedly planning to hit Lagos and other states in the West - not with bombs and explosives but with a very poisonous powder that would gradually but eventually kill whoever consumes the powder.

To ensure that the powder is easily consumed, we gathered that they are planning to poison Suya (a shish kebab like food popular in West Africa, originally from the Hausa people of northern Nigeria and Niger) in their target states.

"We're all aware that before now, quite a number of states in the West especially Lagos State has received quite a number of alerts of this nature; most of which end up being a hoax.

For instance, i have lost count of the number of times i have received such alert claiming bombs and explosive devices were allegedly rigged in certain cinema in Lagos (name withheld). Till date, there hasn't been a single incident of an explosion at the said cinema." A concern citizen told us.

Though, on the other hand, we also know that to totally ignore a message like this might not be totally wise so it would be safer to be cautious and remain vigilant in general.

"A while ago, it was a hoax about a bomb at Ozone Cinemas in Lagos. A lot of my brothers and sisters are simply afraid of what they do not understand.

Are they telling me that the guys allegedly behind such plans would patiently and tactically infiltrate every single Suya spot in the whole of Lagos, kill or subdue the operators of such joints and then commence rubbing the so-called powder on the mean - Please Please please, at what point did Nigerians become this gullible. We have seen the Boko Haram at work and we know how they strike.

I really do not see any coherence in this. Personally, i find it incredibly annoying that despite our level of education, we continue to allow fear take a more dominant stand to the detriment of our ability to decipher the simplest and most basic of facts. I'll stop here before i smash my keyboard in anger."

In a related report, the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, South East zone has alleged that the Northern Islamist sect, Boko Haram and its sponsors had concluded plans to declare a Jihad against the Southern part of the country with the deployment of over 6,000 fundamentalists to the South to prosecute the war.

The association also claimed that part of the plot for the mass killing of Christians in the South was the alleged importation of a poisonous powder which Hausa suya sellers would use to poison the meat they sell as part of the Jihad, warning the people of the South to be careful about eating suya henceforth.

Chairman of CAN in the zone and Anglican Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Bishop Emmanuel Chukwuma, who raised the alarm at a briefing after the meeting of the association at All Saint's Cathedral, Enugu, condemned the Sunday bombings of churches which claimed over 40 lives, saying it had on good authority that it had declared war on Christians as part of the agenda to Islamize Nigeria.

He said: “We have information and documents to show that this is a Jihad being sponsored and we have our documents to show where they have dispatched 2,000 people to prepare for Jihad to South East, 2,500 to South-South and about 2,000 to South West.
The names of those who are sponsoring this are in our hand now.

So, it is a form of Jihad to make sure that Nigeria is frustrated and islamized and we are saying we are going to resist it, we are prepared to resist and they will not succeed. We have our information because there is already a Boko Haramist that was converted and has leaked most of these secrets to us and we have our document and information. So at the appropriate time we shall strike and we are waiting for them.”
