ORANGOOTAN UNVEILS NEW ARTISTES

Orangootan recording company is one of the music labels that are making waves in the country. After the success of Asyionye and Fadabasi, the label has signed three fresh acts into its fold, namely Timmy Chris, Peace Josef and Ohun.

Of course, the rookie musicians are in high spirit as they are looking forward to the official sign-on ceremony/bash.

Timmy Chris, one of the new acts, is a lady to watch as she seems to have much fire in her. The young musician, who is in her early 20s, has already completed her first solo album, Naughty Girl, which consists of six tracks.

According to her, “I have always wanted to be an artiste. I started singing when I was eight, so music has become a part of me.”

Peace, on his own part, is a well-known performer who started his career in the days of Daniel Wilson and the late Isaac Black. With his melodious voice, Peace says he is “ready to captivate the world with my brand of music, which is called Modern Reggae/Lovers Rock.” Ohun is a songwriter who has said he has a versatile voice that ranges from a rich tenor to a high falsetto.

According to him, “many first time listeners are usually amazed that it is the same singer because of the versatile voice range that I have.
