The last time Ego Ogbaro really shared the same stage Lagbaja was on December 29, 2006. That date was her valedictory appearance as a member of the masquerade's band. They were, however, on stage again on Friday July 27, at the monthly show in Motherlan'. Ego's appearance was courtesy of Groove Thang Inc, an outfit run by her husband, Niyi. She performed with the Indigo Band. Lagbaja later appeared with his own band.

The show is one of the few that Lagbaja still does on these shores following reports that his family has relocated to the U.S.

His many fans may have to get use to seeing him as regularly as a comet if it turns out that Lagbaja now spends more time in America than he does here.

By the way, whatever happened to Africano Party? The album was introduced to journalists on July 11, 2005 as the twin of Africano…Mother of Groove. He had said back then that his fans should wait for the release at a later date. But he didn't tell them they had to wait forever.
