Pretty Nollywood star, Bimbo Akintola, is surely one of the busiest actresses in the industry. While some who have appeared in a string of movies already feel they have become stars, few of them who had a formal training in acting are actually combining both stage and movie acting – which sets them apart from the crowd. Some of these true artistes are Richard Mofe-Damijo, Clarion Chukwura, Joke Jacobs and some others.

Back to Bimbo Akintola. She is in the thick of appearing in a stage play written by Femi Osofisan. The play, according to her, would be showing in Lagos and Port-Harcourt.

Who are those behind it all? Bimbo said she did not know, because she was just an actor. A graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan, Bimbo has acted in several Nollywood movies. Her first movie in English was Out of Bounds.
It was the film for which she won an award as the best actress in an English movie and the best overall actress in Nigeria.

She is the third child in a family of six. Her father is from Oyo State, while her mother is from Edo State. She likes singing, dancing and, above all, acting.
