BANTU WINS AFRICAN AWARD
Germany-based Nigerian musician, Ade Bantu, has won the 2007 Africa Festival Award.
The award was given to him recently in Wurzburg, Germany, during the yearly Africa Festival Awards.
Entertainment Cafe gathered that part of the festival was when about 1,000 balloons were released into the air as a subtle protest against racial discrimination.
With the award, Bantu has joined previous recipients like Manu Dibango, Angelique Kidjo, Miriam Makeba and Daara J, as personalities who have promoted the African culture through their various works.
