DOUBLE-FEATURE NOLLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL

Nu Metro Theatres will host an exclusive double-bill Nollywood Film Festival at its Brightwater Commons cinemas in Randburg from the 6 to 20 July. Nigeria is the world's 3rd largest producer of movies and this is the first time that such a festival will be hosted by a national cinema chain in South Africa.

“Nigerian movies are in huge demand as a source of entertainment by many consumers and represent a growth market in South Africa,” says Nu Metro's National Marketing Manager, Donna Cooper. “Tickets will be R25 each and will allow moviegoers to sample Nollywood double-features every day over the three-week period.”

Cooper adds “The movies we will feature in the festival will be in the light-hearted and romantic comedy genres, appealing to both established Nollywood fans and cinema-goers who want to sample something new in the South African marketplace.”

Films will be shown at 14h00 and 18h00 daily.
