Recall that we reported last week about top female movie producer,Emem Isong's new exploit in the world of making TV series.

In this new sector, the banker turned movie producer has debuted with Catwalq,a story that centers on three female friends who live very different and distinct lives and their business, running a magazine called Catwalq which threatens to destroy their relationship.

Although Catwalq presents a good storyline and is packed with intrigues and challenges of daily living, foreign based Nigerians are concerned over what they called inadequate use of actors and actresses in the series.

According to them,Catwalq is a series that is not only meant for television stations in Nigeria but also the international cable television which is expected to project Nigeria's image to the world. As such, they are of the opinion that Isong would not have only concentrated on creating new artistes but should have engaged popular faces who are more experienced in role interpretation.

They argue that Catwalq lacks a touch of professionalism as the actors and actresses are extremely new and could not interpret roles that will project Nollywood to the world.

However, sources from Royal Arts Academy where a lot of the new artistes were trained, insist that what the series represents is a picture of what the academy stands for.

According to them,Royal Arts Academy gives birth to future film makers and it has become its norm to train and dish out new actors and actresses for the consumption of other movie producers.
