DAY YINKA AYEFELE LOST HIS COOL
It is no longer news that gospel-tungba musician, Yinka Ayefele, has, for some time, been confined to a wheel chair. The gist, however, is that the wheel chair almost became an albatross to the Ibadan-based singer last week.
Those that saw Ayefele at the airport at that time, fuming with anger, did not believe that the musician, who is a merry maker, could lose his temper in that manner.
Ayefele, we gathered, had boarded a United Arab Emirate's national carrier, Emirates Airlines, from Dubai, but his joy of being home-bound suddenly turned to pain when he discovered that his wheel chair was not taken along by the airline.
It took the intervention of the emergency services arm of National Cargo Handling Company (NAHCO) before another wheel chair was provided. It was only then the talented musician calmed down.
Even with the assistance, NFC gathered, Ayefele still grumbled that the alternative wheel chair provided by NAHCO, was substandard and degrading. He could not be blamed. After all, his multi-million naira wheel chair is automated.
