BOKO HARAM STRIKES AGAIN:KILL BABAKURA FUGU THE MAN OBASANJO MET IN MAIDUGURI FOR PEACE TALK
Recall, on Thursday Sept 15th, Ex-President Obasanjo paid a very private visit to the family of slain Boko Haram leader/founder, Mohammed Yusuf, in Maiduguri, where he begged the family to give peace a chance and forgive those who killed their leader.
The man Obasanjo met with was Mohammed Yusuf's brother-in-law, 48year old Babakura Fuggu. Just two days after the meeting, Fuggu was gunned down at his Borno state residence, same venue of the meeting with Obasanjo.
A lone gun man, reportedly in traditional Fulani flowing garb, suspected to be a member of Boko Haram, entered Fuggu's residence on Saturday,September 17 at about 1.20pm and shot him to death.
The police in Maiduguri say the killing was most likely in protest of Obasanjo's visit to the Yusufs.
