For quite sometime now, there's been this rumor going around town, that there is a cold war between Goldie Harvey and Ego, over who is the sexiest and most talented female hip-hop act.

Bebeakinboade sought to know the truth. I gathered that Ego recently debunked the story claiming that there is no such thing between them.
According to her, “Goldie and I are friends. We equally speak on phone once in a while. She appreciates what I'm doing and I also appreciate hers. Goldie is a sexy girl. For me, I've always been very sexy even when I was in school (UNILAG). So, all I can say is that I am not in any competition with her. Just let people decide who they think is sexier."

So my next question is who is actually sexier, Goldie or Ego?

Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey popularly known as Goldie can be described as a multi-talented artiste. The University of Sunderland, UK graduate have always had artistic

flair from a very tender age. And since her emergence onto the pop culture radar a few years ago, Goldie has cut large swaths though the fields of musical accomplishments; exemplifying a special conception of musical heroine, who can say or show anything while providing a view of the bold, confrontational and liberated woman.

Colorful and cerebral, Goldie's musical strength and depth, sensuality and serenity have appropriated her as the high water mark that other female singers have to live up to. Added to that is the fact that the multiple awards-winning singer has created a smoldering, public persona that borders on the eccentric and eclectic, otherwise creative and precise, but engaging enough to keep you talking about her.
Despite the mixed reactions to her musical style and outré outlook, Goldie has fitted perfectly into the role of Nigeria's most consistent female performer of the moment.

And since her first single, Komole, which was followed by three other singles, Spin Me, Nothing has changed, and Shift, there has been no stopping her.Goldie holds her own in talent and creativity. After a tentative management deal in 2009, Goldie was signed on to Nigeria's foremost music label, Kennis Music in 2010 where she is till date.

Jennifer Nwakaego Oduah popularly known as Ego is another sexy female hip hop act. Ego started as a model for major Nigerian fashion outfits and was

even, unsurprisingly, a contestant in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant, a precursor to Miss World.

Her former modeling career and breakout hit “Omalicha” (sometimes called “Omalicha Nwa,” which means “beautiful one' in Igbo) have taken Lagos, Nollywood and Nigeria by storm. Determined to be educated, she bagged a bachelor's degree in Creative Arts at the University of Lagos, which further fortified her musical skill, theatre and visual arts amongst many others.

Ego also collaborates from time to time with artists under her label, Questionmark Entertainment. She's featured on the melodic R&B track “Graduation Day Remix” with producer/vocal coach Harrysong and singer Tito Da. Fire.

The interesting thing is that they both possess the qualities of a sexy pop idol. They are both flamboyant and will light up any room or venue they step into. So if Goldie and Ego were the two finalist at Most Sexiest Hip Hop artiste competition, which of them will you vote for?
