ANTP CRISIS LATEST: Ashaolu Cries Out ‘Save My Life’
The crisis in the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) is becoming worse with the latest letter titled “Save My Life” written by the National President, Comrade Dr. Victor Ashaolu copied to Nigerian security operatives and all states police commands, including states security services agency, among others in all states where ANTP exists.
Victor Ashaolu alleged 13 theatre practitioners being the brain behind the plan of eliminating him and that of his numerous supporters. He listed names including Prince Kosoko, Prince David Odubandele Odule, Abdulrasaq Adewale, Babatunde Bangbode (Fokoko), Yomi (Osagie) Faleye, Bamidele Adeoti, Ayo Oladapo, Mubarak Azeez, Ayobami Olabiyi-(Bobo B), Abdulmalik Segun Olorunfemi, Lateef O. Deinde, Ojo-Olowojolu, and Akeem Alimi (Jalingo).
It is confirmed that last week 6 theatre practitioners had been invited and interrogated namely Odule, Sokoti, Mubarak-Azeez, Bobo B, Segun-Olorunfemi, and Adeoti that they should made bond of good behaviour and not to take law into their hands, while nothing should happen to Victor Ashaolu and his supporters.
Other alleged theatre practitioners were given third week of June to report at their various state police command and state security services.
