Although details are sketchy for now, we can authoritatively confirm that Chocolate City rapper Ice Prince's mum is dead; and colleagues and friends are right now rallying round the young man; consoling and comforting him.

The popular rapper whose real name is Panshak Zamani lost his mother Mrs. Nasara Zamani today Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, Plateau State, at about 4PM.

Unknown to everyone including Mrs. Zamani, she was said to be hypertensive.

Mrs. Zamani who is a widow (Iceprince lost his father who was a member of the Nigerian Police Force back in 1999), took ill earlier this week and was immediately admitted into the hospital.

IcePrince who made regular visits to the hospital had just arrived from Abuja and was heading home when he heard the bad, sad news.

The Chocolate City rapper is the second born out of three children. His other two siblings are girls.
